Easter Sunday!

The first two pictures are of Samuel and his buddy Samuel. They are quite the pair. The other Samuel's sister calls them First Samuel and Second Samuel. These are the only two pictures I got of Samuel before he spilled juice on his outfit.

The second set of pictures are of Samuel and his buddies that came to visit for Easter. We all went to a nice hotel in town and swam after Easter services. Post swimming I took these pictures of them kissing eachother through the glass of the outdoor shower. The kids had a lot of fun and were quite entertaining as usual.

It has been really hot for a while now so an Easter swim may be a new tradition.

Our Little Man

We went to a hotel in town for a few days to relax and swim. Sammie came out of the bath and wanted a towel like daddy's so he used a handtowel to wrap up with. I thought it was too cute!

Samuel and His Cowboy Boots!

Samuel just had to wear his boots to play outside today! He is so funny. When he goes outside to ride his bike he goes to the neighbors gates and knocks. They come and take him inside and try to feed him chocolate and biscuits. I wonder why he doesn't want his dinner? When we got home today he had a blister on each little toe but he didn't even know it, thank goodness. He is quite the tough little man.

Chocolate Mustache

We took these funny pictures of Sammie while we shared some chocolate ice cream. We were laughing histerically at him and he had no idea why he was so funny. I was almost in tears, ok you had to be there but it was so cute. He is always entertaining us.

Sammie went to a party! He was so cute in the Nike outfit his grandma gave him. He is just the cutest kid if I do say so myself.

The Taj Mahal

Just a few years ago I found out my great grandparents (my mothers grandparents) had gone to the Taj Mahal in India. They were world travelers but I didn't know they were adventurous enough to go to India on a boat! It was amazing to me and I figured that if they could go I could to and so my family and I finally made it to the Taj Mahal. The first picture is of my greatgrandparents and is a picture of a picture so the quality is not the best. The rest of the pictures are of us at the Taj. Samuel is in some and he is hardly noticable because he is so small. Hope you enjoy our pictures.

Just a little Taj Mahal history. Some of the tour guides make things up so if I write something not accurate that is why. The Taj Mahal was built by a king that lost his wife and he loved her deeply. This was a huge tomb for her and he when he died. He had a couple other wives but they had no children for him and she had like 12 although many of them died. So she was the one he really loved and built the Taj Mahal for. Some legends say that the people that built the Taj Mahal had their hands chopped off after it was completed so that there could never be another one built again. Some crazy stuff but this is the best building we have seen in India. Most things are not well taken care of or well built.

Sammie just loves tiny spaces these days. We don't have any closets in our house so we have these "almari's" and Samuel loves to crawl into the small shelves on the bottom. In these pictures he has his broken squirt gun that we had in the trash and he rescued it, as you can see. He doesn't want to let that thing go. He is too much fun these days!
